When purchased in November 2003, SummerGlen was owned by a bank, having foreclosed on a previous developer. There were 12 homes, an 18-hole golf course and 167 developed lots.

From opening of our sales program in early 2004 through sell-out in late 2013, Florida Leisure Communities sold and closed over 1,000 homes in the community, and built a major recreational complex. SummerGlen was one of the top 50 Master Planned Communities in the U.S. by "Where To Retire" magazine on three separate occasions and was consistently one of the top selling active adult communities in Central Florida.
